The Exaviz Cruiser Carrier Board is a next-generation platform for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5). Unlike typical carrier boards that require external accessories for networking and wireless, Cruiser integrates everything on a single compact board: an 8-port Gigabit PoE+ switch, 2.5 Gigabit WAN uplink, NVMe and SATA storage, dual 4K display outputs, and built-in WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and Zigbee via an onboard ESP32-C6 module.
Power up to 8 IP cameras, access points, or IoT devices directly from the board with up to 30W per port, no separate PoE expansion required out of the box. When you need more, add the Exaviz Interceptor PoE Board via the onboard FFC connector to expand to 16 total PoE-powered devices. The 2.5GbE WAN port eliminates bandwidth bottlenecks when recording from multiple cameras simultaneously. Install a Hailo-8 AI accelerator in the M.2 slot for real-time edge inference, or use it for fast NVMe storage.
The built-in ESP32-C6 makes Cruiser an ideal Home Assistant hub, providing Zigbee coordination and WiFi 6 without any external USB dongles. Exaviz provides a complete Debian-based OS image with all drivers pre-installed. Setup is quick and hassle-free.
